Extra sessions

 

 

       

Two extra sessions out of the programme have been proposed in the last minute. All participants are welcome. Please, contact the convernors if you have any doubt.

 

Be aware that they are both at the lunch time. Do not starve!

Do we need a pan-European herpetofauna conservation network?

Anton Stumpel (chair of the SEH Conservation Committee)

Goal of the meeting is to get people of all over Europe together to discuss the need for such a network, how such a network could be established and what the main goals of the network could be. All conservationists are welcome!

What atlas do we want?

Mini-communications included:

1- Distribution Atlases in Europe: the cases of Portugal, Spain and Iberian Peninsula, Neftalí Sillero.
2.- The Atlas of Italy, Roberto Sindaco
3.- The RAVON project, Rob van Westrienen.
4.- Conservation and distribution atlas, Sergé Bogaerts

 

This extra meeting follows the oral communication "The New Atlas  project" by the Mapping Committee and aims to be an open discussion about different possibilities for carrying out the European Atlas of Amphibians and Reptiles, mainly focused in a collaborative network of all European national atlases. The meeting is an open debate where we will can exchange knowledge and opinions. So, all particiants are welcome!
