The CIBIO, Centro de Investigação em Biodiversidade e Recursos Genéticos da Universidade do Porto and the Societas Europaea Herpetologica (SEH) are organising the 14th European Congress of Herpetology, including the Ordinary General Meeting of SEH, between 19 and 23 September 2007.
The congress will take place in the city of Porto (north Portugal) at the Fundação Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda.
The programme (real-time updated, last changes in yellow) includes plenary lectures, workshops, oral communications and posters.
The abstract book is already available. It includes the programme, the abstracts and the lists of authors and participants as well as the instructions for the manuscripts submitted to the Proceeding Volume. Of course, you will receive a paper copy with your documentation. Do not waste paper!
Communications are integrated in workshops and roundtables.

14th Ordinary General Meeting SEH: those participants who are SEH members are invited to participate in the 14th OGM on Saturday 22, afternoon. You can download the agenda of the OGM and the proposals to be voted in the assembly (previously appeared in Amphibia-Reptilia).
Other activities will be a city tour, a visit to the Porto Wine caves (Sogrape), a cruise in river Douro. and a field excursion to the Natural Reserve of Dunas de São Jacinto, and a farewell party.

The registration and abstract forrms can be dowloaded (Word doc or acrobat PDF), filled and sent to herpmeeting@mail.icav.up.pt. The values of the congress fees are also in the form (late fee); the way of payment is already in the form (Word doc or acrobat PDF).
Just after the Congress, between 24 and 27 September 2007, the 2nd Biology of Vipers Conference will also take place at the same location. Detailed information can be obtained from the Conference's website and from vipersconf@mail.icav.up.pt. A discount of 50 euro is applied to those attending both events. In this case, please, indicate it with a label when sending the transfer document.
